About
Carolyne is a NJ/NYC local actress, voiceover artist, singer, and writer. She has worked frequently at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey and toured in two Shakespeare LIVE! Companies. While she is often artistically fed by the classics, she is always excited by what’s current, eager to develop new characters on stage, camera, and through voice. Classically vocally trained, she has a love of dialects, and is also the narrator of several audiobooks, including Hachette’s feminist essay anthology Pretty Bitches.
As a citizen of both the US and UK, Carolyne has a strong connection to her heritage in Scotland, where she made her international theatre debut in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She has fond memories of growing up, visiting her grandparents in Inverness and writing stories with her Grandpa Gordon on his typewriter. Now, Carolyne continues to be passionate about writing and has an obsession with all things television.
Carolyne earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre and Performance from Emerson College, where she performed in several plays and student films. In one of her favorite roles as Mash in Stupid F##king Bird directed by Rebecca Bradshaw, she composed the songs she sang and accompanied herself on the piano. During her junior year, Carolyne starred in “Delict”, an independent dramedy web series she wrote and produced. She was nominated for an EVVY for her role in the web series Shadow Minds.
Carolyne has also worked as the Youth Ensemble Manager for A Christmas Carol at McCarter Theatre, the Artistic Assistant at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, and completed a fulfilling internship in television and film development at Montgomery Studios in Los Angeles.
